Large Brass Rubbings
Two large Brass Rubbings which are also ideal for framing are available by mail order:-

THOMAS & MARGARET DE BEAUCHAMP,
Earl & Countess Of Warwick, 1406, St. Mary's church, Warwick

Mixed plate and chainmail form the Earl of Warwick's armour while Margaret wears a dress and mantle with traces of the original heraldic design.

Thomas was a knight of the Garter and closely involved with the monarchy, becoming a close friend of King Edward III, guardian of King Richard II and courtier to King Henry IV.

This particular Rubbing measures 6ft in height by 3ft 4 inches



SIR ROBERT DE BURES,
c 1310, Acton, Suffolk.
This has often been called the finest military brass in existence and indeed it is one of only four full-length figures to survive from the 'surcoat period'.

His shield is embellished with the burrs design as an heraldic pun on his surname.

This particular Rubbing measures 6ft 11 inches in height by 25 inches
